When we have been wronged and mistreated or lied to, it is hard to trust God to handle the situation when everything in us wants to fight back and defend ourselves.

Human nature pushes us to judge others while defending ourselves. But the Sermon on the Mount calls us to a deeper transformation.

Drawing from David’s example in Psalm 54, we’re called to surrender our battles to God, trusting His faithful help rather than relying on our own defenses.
