Just as we once longed to be picked for a childhood team, Christ has chosen us for His kingdom. Now, as kingdom citizens, we are to stay devoted in prayer, live with gratitude, and share His light with those still searching.

Friend, like you, I’ve faced seasons of discouragement, setbacks, and uncertainty. Psalm 46 has been one of my go-to passages in those times because it reminds me that God is our refuge and strength, not just mine or yours individually, but ours together as His people.

Imagine your life as a billboard on display for the world. What message does it send? Psalm 71 offers a model: a life lived in dependence on God. May your testimony, like the psalmist’s, boldly proclaim, “You are my strong refuge.”

Ultimately, Psalm 1 explains two different ways to be human. Two paths that we can take. The first path is one that reflects the life of God. The alternate path is the path of the wicked.

Draw encouragement from Paul's perseverance in Corinth despite opposition. Every believer is called to participate in ministry, even amid difficulties. God faithfully supports His work through community and prayer.

Jehoshaphat's reliance on God's sovereignty and promises in the face of impossible odds serves as a timeless example of finding strength in faith during times of crisis.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances.”

Today we can pay closer attention to the words of God for us in Christ. Today we can call and encourage a friend.

It is sometimes difficult to embrace all God has promised us when the dark clouds surround us and the path forward appears unclear. Yet it was in moments like this the prophet Isaiah encouraged his beloved of old—and us.
