Remember when Jesus taught his disciples to pray? What was that line we have all recited many times? “Give us this day our daily bread.”

On the morning of the resurrection, two women stood at the center of history—afraid, yet faithful, and chosen to proclaim that Jesus is alive.

We sometimes forget that Jesus felt many of the same emotions. Maybe he felt some of the joy and excitement of Palm Sunday, but the reality hit on Monday when he walked into the temple and confronted how little spiritual intensity was there.
