This Holy Week is an opportunity to reflect on Jesus and to consider if we are fully trusting and believing all that he said and, more, all that he did for us at the cross and at his resurrection. 

Good Friday invites us to pause, remember, and give thanks for the love that changed everything.

We might argue that Jesus didn’t really mean that washing each other’s feet was meant to be a regular practice, but it would be difficult to deny that humble service is to be practiced always.

Holy Wednesday is another opportunity for confession and repentance. Are there areas of your life that you keep hidden that are not in line with the life of a follower of Christ?

As we move together through Holy Week, we have an opportunity to hear the words of Jesus with fresh ears.

In a world that rejected prophets and abused power, the Master still sent His Son. The parable of the tenants speaks of God's deep grace and the cost of rejecting His offer. Holy Week is a moment to receive the Cornerstone anew.

When you read any or all of the four Gospels, you quickly see that the disciples were having their own trouble keeping up with all the amazing things they were seeing and experiencing with Jesus. We can relate.

Jesus told them what was coming, but maybe they didn’t believe it because they were in denial. Looking back, we realize we need to know more than just the facts of Holy Week.

There is much to think about this Holy Week. Today I am struck by the conversation of Jesus with Pilate.

It’s easy to miss how simple is the message of Jesus, even for a complicated day like our own. Paul calls us to clarity with what we consider in this devotion.
