Maybe the biggest thing we can learn from Jacob in this story is that no matter what is going on, our best decision is to simply hold on to God no matter what.

In a world dominated by constant comparison, we can remember that characters like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph weren’t perfect. In fact, their flaws—ranging from lies to favoritism—show that God uses imperfect people to fulfill His promises.

It is still God’s plan to use broken folks like us—and like those in today’s Bible stories—to share the story of redemption and transformation with those we meet every day.
