Waiting can feel unbearable, whether it’s just for a day or for a decade. I want to talk with you about how the prophet Micah helped me reframe what waiting really means—and how it’s not just about patience, but about trust in a God who never forgets His word.

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus and await His return, we can relate to the Israelites’ longing for deliverance and the sense of waiting that often makes our hope feel distant, yet we know Jesus will return to restore all things.

There is one familiar passage in Micah that always appears in Advent and Christmas celebrations. There is a second one in Micah that I would suggest we also consider during our Advent preparations.
