Drawing from Genesis, we reflect on how the initial beauty and order of creation was disrupted by disobedience, yet God’s plan for renewal was set in motion immediately after the fall.

As we step into 2025, it’s comforting to remember that God is both the beginning and the end. From the very start of creation to the final chapter of eternity, He is with us.

As we close this year and step into the next, we are encouraged to trust in God’s unchanging presence, knowing that He will continue to bring comfort, joy, and purpose as we serve Him and others in the coming year.

I will confess that over the years the last week of the year and the first week of the new year tend to keep me restless and stressed. It doesn’t take long for the worry and stress over things I can’t control to start backing up.

Maybe some are eager to tear the last page off of 2023 while we hope and pray for better times in 2024. And maybe in these last couple of days of the year, we should have an honest and bold conversation with the Lord.
