The Power of Weakness: Embracing Vulnerability as Strength
Paul addresses the Corinthian church's doubts about his authority by emphasizing that Christ's power is evident even through apparent weakness, just as Jesus' resurrection demonstrated the triumph of divine strength.
The Tug of Glory
The problem is the pull or drift toward wanting to get a little glory because once we get it, we almost always want a little more, and the pursuit of this glory is hard to cut off or stop.
No one and nothing can stand against Jesus, our resurrected king!
It is freedom to walk in the power of the living Lord and be led by his Spirit.
Why the search for power is not the pathway for the person of God
Paul did not seek to be an insider or power player. He did not seek fame or fortune. As he wrote to the church in Corinth, he clarified the difference between wisdom that comes from God and wisdom that comes from the world.
