The Glory is Yet to Come
Haggai reminded weary builders that the future temple’s glory would surpass the former—and he was pointing to Jesus, the true temple of God. The same is true for us: when we can’t see past the struggle, God is preparing something far greater than we imagine.

The prophet Haggai delivered a message from God to Zerubbabel and Joshua, encouraging them and the people of Judah as they faced the overwhelming task of rebuilding the temple after its destruction.
God has always been in the restoration business!
When we live in alignment with the teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, God takes notice; and he promises that our treasures in heaven will be far greater than what we could ever achieve here on earth.
