Psalm 49 reminds us that no amount of wealth or success can change our ultimate reality: everyone faces death, and everything is left behind. Yet through Christ, we are given hope beyond the grave, freeing us from fear, comparison, and insecurity.

Selfies may be harmless fun, but they also mirror our culture’s inward focus. As followers of Jesus, we’re called to shift our attention from self to service, using our lives to point others toward the One who gave everything for us.

Everyone makes lists. Making lists gets things done! But in today’s brief passage, the apostle presents lists that can make all the difference no matter what other tasks we’re planning.
