Just as people in the Old Testament were given specific roles in serving the Temple and kingdom, believers today are given spiritual gifts to serve the church.

In the Old Testament, specific groups were responsible for the work of Temple worship. Through Christ, that calling has expanded: every believer is part of a royal priesthood and has a role in building up the church and sharing the gospel.

Zephaniah paints a beautiful picture of a future day when deceit, fear, and rebellion will disappear, and all people will worship God together in truth.
