There’s no advantage to calling your situation worse—or better—than it actually is. Admitting that is the first step toward dealing with your current problem.

When I read Scripture I constantly find verses that challenge my thinking and, more specifically, my behavior or lack of action. I get uncomfortable at the reminder that the kingdom of God is different from the many kingdoms on earth demanding our attention or allegiance.

In the moment of glory we tend to forget the suffering. When the outcomes are unknown and the stress is high, we may be in a situation that requires getting back to the fundamentals of our faith.

Everyone suffers, but the Christian has unique resources for dealing with suffering. In fact, the Bible even says we can rejoice in suffering.
