As we move together through Holy Week, we have an opportunity to hear the words of Jesus with fresh ears.

We sometimes forget that Jesus felt many of the same emotions. Maybe he felt some of the joy and excitement of Palm Sunday, but the reality hit on Monday when he walked into the temple and confronted how little spiritual intensity was there.

Jesus’ call to “follow me” is about action, not personality type. God equips all types of people for ministry; our role is to imitate Jesus’ steps and respond in obedience.

Amid anxiety, doubt, or struggle, we have the choice to rely on Jesus. By placing our decisions and burdens in His hands, we receive the rest, hope, and clarity only He can provide.

Jesus’ ministry was marked by presence, engagement, and care. Before we seek to reach the nations, we’re called to notice the needs in our neighborhoods and act with love, patience, and compassion.

From withdrawing to grieve John the Baptist’s death to feeding thousands, Jesus showed intentionality in His time. By adopting a similar rhythm of rest, prayer, and service, we can minister effectively without burning out.

From small acts of kindness to life-changing steps of faith, God is always leading. When we choose courage over fear, we step into the purpose He’s prepared for us all along.

Jesus didn’t come for the “right” people—He came for everyone. As His followers, we’re called to extend grace, step into uncomfortable spaces, and reflect His mercy to those we might otherwise avoid.

Even when life feels like it’s crashing in around us, Jesus is present and in control. Just like the disciples, we’re invited to trade fear for faith and trust that He will carry us safely through.

As Christ lives within us, we’re called to reflect His love—because we may be someone’s closest encounter with Him today.

Joshua’s leadership reminds us that faith requires both courage and commitment. When we choose to serve God and trust His promises, we can face life’s battles without fear, knowing He walks with us every step of the way.

Human nature pushes us to judge others while defending ourselves. But the Sermon on the Mount calls us to a deeper transformation.

Being “the head and not the tail” is not determined by chance but by a life of obedience to God. When believers are given influence, they are called to lead the way Jesus did—with humility, sacrifice, and service.

Jesus promises that those who ask, seek, and knock will receive from their Heavenly Father. While our prayers are not always answered the way we expect, we can trust that God gives what is best. As the perfect giver, He lovingly provides exactly what we need.

Jesus’ teaching about earthly treasures challenges us to examine what truly matters in life. Accumulating more possessions often brings more anxiety and distraction from what God values most—people and relationships.

Prayer is essential to the life of a believer, yet it is often neglected or misunderstood. Jesus reminds us that true prayer is simple, honest, and rooted in relationship with our Father.

At the end of Moses’ long message in Deuteronomy, he left Israel with a song—a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness and their calling to praise Him. Through both victories and failures, God remained their Rock.

The enemy may retreat, but he does not relent. After overcoming temptation, Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit and boldly declared His mission.

In every generation, God’s people are called to reflect His light by loving Him completely and loving others as He first loved us.

Hearing God’s Word is important, but doing what He says transforms us. Like building a house on a solid foundation, obedience strengthens our spiritual lives.
