God will save and rescue his children and all will find refuge and restoration.

When we look to the cross, we remember that Jesus endured his death to pay the penalty for our sins. 

We may not yet see what we need, but we can be sure that the one who saw our great need and was willing to suffer and die for our salvation will also bring deliverance in all situations at just the right time.

Greatness equals servanthood in the kingdom of God. Being first is not and is never the goal.

God is a God not just of the past but also of the immediate, the here and now. 

We need to exercise our faith not just for a moment but for a lifetime.

God is not simply a God of history but a living God who loves us and calls us into his promises.

Because of our savior’s love, he wept, he prayed, and moved forward in obedience to his father so that not just those in Jerusalem might be saved but that all people everywhere might be saved.

When God reveals himself through his word and we follow his guidance, we abide with him and have his blessing. 

Remember that both words and tone matter.

Let’s thank God for the freshness of his word.

Paul said it well: All have sinned and fallen short. And thank God for our current season of the year, where we consider the great price Jesus paid on the cross so that every sinner can have their sins forgiven.

Paul said it this way: “Owe no man anything, save to love one another: for he that loveth his neighbor hath fulfilled the law.”

The Pharisees asked Jesus what the greatest commandment was, and he answered:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” And Jesus then added a second command: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

With God even mountains can be moved.

God is both the creator of all things but also the sustainer of all things.

The Lord, our shepherd, will meet us and get us through every situation.

It is important to speak scripture to ourselves so that we correct our thinking and remember God’s promises.

God will never abandon us.
