David’s words in Psalm 56 assure us that God notices every moment of our pain and holds our tears with deep love and intention.

Unlike earthly kings who crave power, our King bends His ear to our cries. He rules with majesty and responds with love, guiding us through both strength and tenderness.

As we face unknown afflictions, we can take comfort in knowing that God sees and hears us, even when we’re unaware of how many dangers He’s already shielded us from.

What if the difficult things we go through and the suffering we experience have something to do with advancing the gospel? Would it stir more resolve and commitment to the places he has put us or to the people we are called to serve?

Asaph, David's go-to worship leader, wrote several worship songs found in the Psalms, reminding us of God's sovereignty over creation, His righteous judgment, and His sufficiency.
